Peter Fagernäs
Investment banker and investor
Peter Fagernäs is an investment banker and investor. He made his career at KOP and Merita, built the bank's units in London (1984), New York and Stockholm, and negotiated the exchange ratio for the KOP-SYP merger together with Juha Mikkonen alone - share prices could not be used as the yardstick, so every balance-sheet item was taken apart. He ran Prospectus Oy, which became Merita Corporate Finance in the merger, and later served as chairman of Fortum and through the Conventum, Pohjola and Taaleri phases. When he appeared on Negotiator in 2025 he had just published the book Kansallisporvari Peter Fagernäs - Kuinka teiniradikaalista tuli miljonääri (Docendo).
