00:00 Mikko Alasaarela: Your first mistake is that if you call AI a tool, then you’ve already lost. You’ve lost because if you think AI is an extension of a human, then it can only marginally improve that person’s productivity. But if you think of AI as an essential part of your entire ecosystem that does a big part of the jobs we used to do, then you’re able to multiply that productivity, because you’re not making the human a bottleneck for AI’s ability to execute. Well now I’m thinking about how we utilize this productivity. So let’s say that we manage to get the Finns on board with this AI-native transformation in a big way. Finns learn to utilize AI in a way that multiplies productivity. Well, there’s a possibility that, assuming such a collective three-fold productivity jump, then that three-fold productivity jump, since half the population is working, is 1 and a half times the GDP, which in this current world situation would be enough to get pretty close to first place in the world. We aren’t far from it anymore. Well then the other side is that if even the public sector’s productivity triples, do we need to use it for anything other than reducing to a third the number of people needed there.
