The marks are genuine — the gaps are irregular, from 20 to 45 seconds — but note that the published video runs 3:01 and the last mark sits at 3:00, while the topics listed cover considerably more ground than three minutes: what is published on the channel is an excerpt of a longer SaaS Club session, and the marks belong to it. No transcript is published here — the channel has no English caption track for this episode and the Finnish one is YouTube's automatic track. Nothing in it is investment advice, and the market conditions are those of April 2020."

## Summary

Antti Pietilä and the host analyse the key differences between consumer subscription software and B2B enterprise SaaS: the models, the pricing structures and the frequency of use. The episode explores shifts in the value chain, customer acquisition costs and expansion revenue dynamics. It also weighs how software churn behaves under economic pressure, and the integration requirements that make an enterprise implementation demanding.

## Frequency decides the model

A consumer subscription lives or dies on being opened. If a month passes without use, the next renewal is the one that gets cancelled. An enterprise system is used by people who have no choice, which is why it survives being disliked — and why the two products need entirely different retention work.

## Expansion, or the absence of it

A B2B account grows: more seats, more modules, more volume. A consumer subscription is worth what it was worth on day one. That single structural difference is most of the reason the two trade on different multiples.

## Pruning is macro-sensitive

When money is tight, consumers cancel the overlapping services first. That makes consumer churn partly a function of the economy rather than of the product, which is a different risk from the one a B2B company carries.
