## Summary

Sami Miettinen answers viewer requests with a solo episode on Russia's war of aggression, Finland's road to NATO and the resilience of the monetary system. ## Why speed is the security argument

The reasoning behind the timing is the part worth keeping. The window in which applying carries least risk is precisely the one in which Russia's forces are committed elsewhere, which turns a decision usually framed as deliberative into a question of tempo.

## Swift is not the payment system

The second half corrects a confusion that ran through most coverage of the sanctions: Swift carries messages, and the money moves through correspondent accounts and central bank balances. Getting that right changes what one expects a Swift exclusion to actually do.
