"description": "Pekka Toveri, MP and former major general and head of Finnish military intelligence, reviews Wagner's midsummer mutiny with Sami Miettinen a week after the events, in the channel's first episode recorded as a NATO member. Toveri rates the operation itself as competently planned: heavy transporters in place, logistics arranged, and the capture of the Southern Military District headquarters in Rostov securing the rear so that troops could not easily be moved from the Ukrainian front towards Moscow — until, in his phrase, Prigozhin lost his nerve halfway. The losses were real rather than staged: around twenty aircrew and, more significantly, two Mi-8 electronic warfare variants and Il-20 command post aircraft, capabilities Russia holds in single-figure or low-double-figure numbers. The episode's strongest structural passage explains why Prigozhin could attack the defence ministry publicly in the first place: in the good tsar, bad boyars model, playing cliques against each other prevents a rival power centre forming, and Prigozhin served as a lightning rod whose accusations never reached Putin. Four things the mutiny exposed run through the second half — the rear is empty because the operational ground forces are in Ukraine, officials and generals conspicuously did not rush to declare loyalty, information does not move between Russian service branches or ministries, and a leader surrounded by yes-men does not receive accurate information. Toveri dismisses the staged-coup theory on two grounds: Putin lost face and gained nothing, and with tens of thousands of FSB operatives there are far cheaper ways to expose traitors. The closing section is a detailed assessment of the counteroffensive, including a Russian defensive position 20 to 30 kilometres deep between Zaporizhzhia and Mariupol whose first line had not yet been breached.",

"provenance": "Owner page assembled from YouTube metadata, the neuvottelija.fi episode record and a MacWhisper transcription of the Finnish audio. The chapter marks are the publisher's own list as released with the video and translated into English here; all but one fall within ten seconds of a real transcript cue and the remaining one within eleven. No English caption track was produced, so no transcript is published here. The transcription contains no gaps but is the weakest in this batch: Russian and Ukrainian names and military terminology are badly mangled. The cleaned Finnish cue file corrects the names against the publisher's own chapter list and the identifiable terms, but numeric values were deliberately not corrected, because an imprecision of speech cannot be distinguished from a transcription error; at least one figure in the episode is clearly wrong, and this summary does not repeat the episode's numbers except where they are internally consistent. The transcript carries no speaker labels, but with a single guest the speakers are reliably distinguishable.",
